Lead the technical design of new and existing products from concept through to certification and production, and mentor junior engineers. Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Own the technical design (hardware and/or firmware) on development projects and make the key design decisions.
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments and technical problem-solving.
- Mentor and review the work of junior engineers and technicians.
- Write and approve technical specifications, test reports and certification documentation.
- Work with Systems Engineering, Production, Product Management and Project Management.
- Support clients and the field on complex technical problems. Contribute to proposals and quotes.
Requirements
- BEng in Electronic or Computer Engineering (ECSA registration is an advantage)
- 8+ years in electronic product development, with at least 2 in a senior or lead role
- Full product development life cycle, from R&D to production
- Experience with certification and safety standards
