Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: Senior EndoScope Repair Technician Start Date: 2026-07-17 - 2026-08-14 Vacancy Type: Permanent DBN003905 Sectors: Medical Location: Gauteng , Gauteng Salary: Brief: A leading medical company has a vacancy for a Senior EndoScope Repair Technician Detail: Job Purpose: As a Senior Endoscope Repair Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and quality-checking flexible medical endoscopes in a specialist workshop environment. You will work closely with internal technical teams to ensure that critical devices are restored to OEM quality standards, remain safe for patient use, and are processed in a timely and compliant manner . This role requires excellent technical skill, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities: Perform inspection, fault finding, repair, and rebuild of flexible endoscopes. Carry out major repairs including internal component replacement, articulation systems, channel repairs, optical systems, and full rebuilds. Conduct final quality inspections and functional testing before release. Ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with OEM procedures and standards. Maintain accurate job cards, parts usage records, and repair reports. Support and mentor junior technicians in inspection and minor repair activities. Assist in maintaining workshop tools, fixtures, and calibrated test equipment. Troubleshoot complex failures and identify root causes. Support continuous improvement of repair quality, turnaround time, and workshop efficiency. Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal procedures. Requirements: Technical Expertise: National Diploma or relevant qualification in biomedical, electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering with 3+ years specialist repair experience; or 7+ years relevant scope technical repair experience. Strong experience in flexible endoscope repair and rebuilds. OEM certification highly advantageous. Good proficiency in MS Office suite (will be tested). Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of medical device regulations, ISO 13485 principles, and controlled repair environments. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability to diagnose complex equipment failures and provide timely solutions. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues and stakeholders. Customer Focus: Strong commitment to quality, service delivery, and patient safety. Time Management: Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and maintain productivity. Attention to Detail: High level of precisio n required for delicate optical and mechanical assemblies.
