Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Are you a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in wiring design and electrical system integration? This role offers the opportunity to work on complex electrical systems, lead design activities, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions within a technically advanced engineering environment. Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description

• Develop and oversee electrical system designs, including 3D wiring and 2D schematics

• Design and manage wiring harnesses using 3D CAD and schematic software

• Integrate electrical components into overall system architectures

• Evaluate project scope and manage timelines to ensure successful delivery

• Prepare and maintain bills of materials and related 3D assemblies

• Manage product data within PDM systems (e.g. Teamcenter)

• Ensure designs comply with supplier specifications and regulatory standards

• Optimise designs for cost, manufacturability, installation, and serviceability

• Lead and participate in concept and design reviews

• Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to refine and finalise designs

• Assess design outputs against customer requirements and engineering standards

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integration and alignment

Skills & Experience

• 7+ years’ experience in electrical design

• Strong 3D CAD and schematic design experience (NX advantageous)

• Proven experience with wiring harness and electrical system design

• Knowledge of PDM systems (e.g. Teamcenter)

• Strong project management and organisational skills

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Qualification

• Minimum BEng / BSc / in Electrical Engineering
