MOTION CONTROL | LOW VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR | MECHANICAL INTEGRATION

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Automation & Applications Specialist with proven technical expertise in  motion control, mechanical integration and Low Voltage Switchgear (LVS) .

The successful candidate must be capable of understanding complex customer requirements, designing and specifying appropriate automation solutions, and providing high-level engineering support.

This is an opportunity to work closely with a Lead Specialist, develop advanced product and application knowledge, and become a key technical resource within the business.

Applicants must demonstrate solid, practical experience in

Motion Control:  Understanding and specifying motion control solutions for industrial applications.

Low Voltage Switchgear (LVS):  Strong technical product knowledge, selection and application.

Mechanical Integration:  Understanding how electrical automation components integrate with mechanical systems.

Electrical Automation Solutions:  Assessing customer requirements and specifying appropriate technical solutions.

Technical Quoting:  Preparing accurate, detailed quotations based on customer specifications and application requirements.

Application Engineering:  Interpreting technical requirements and developing suitable system layouts and solutions.

Please note: General electrical product sales experience alone will not be sufficient.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Advanced Technical Applications & Solution Engineering

Interpret complex customer requirements and technical specifications.

Design and specify appropriate electrical automation solutions.

Prepare detailed technical quotations and engineered layouts.

Ensure proposed solutions align with customer systems and application requirements.

Provide specialist technical guidance to customers and internal sales teams.

2. Technical Development & Lead Specialist Support

Work closely with the Lead Specialist four days per week.

Develop comprehensive knowledge of the company's technical applications and key account requirements.

Assist with complex engineering layouts, technical enquiries and quotations.

Build the technical capability to independently manage urgent enquiries and provide continuity during the Lead Specialist's absence.

3. Key Account Management – 24 Assigned Accounts

Take responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 24 existing accounts.

Spend one dedicated day per week visiting and supporting customers.

Identify technical requirements, provide application advice and develop opportunities to expand the product mix.

Build strong technical relationships with customers.

4. Regional Sales & Engineering Support

Collaborate with regional Sales Representatives on technically complex customer requirements.

Provide specialist product selection, application and engineering assistance.

Support commercial growth through technically sound solutions and opportunities for additional product applications.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

Proven experience in  industrial electrical automation and application engineering .

Strong working knowledge of  motion control, mechanical integration and Low Voltage Switchgear .

Experience preparing technical quotations and specifying engineered solutions.

Ability to interpret complex customer requirements and translate them into practical solutions.

Previous experience providing technical support to industrial customers and sales teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical communication skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a senior technical specialist.

This position requires established technical experience in all three core areas:

MOTION CONTROL | MECHANICAL INTEGRATION | LOW VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR

Candidates whose experience is limited to general electrical sales, basic product quotations or relationship management without the required technical application knowledge are unlikely to be suitable.
