We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join an ambitious technology team and play a key role in driving innovation, automation, and operational excellence. You’ll be at the heart of building scalable cloud infrastructure, streamlining CI/CD pipelines , strengthening system reliability, and enabling development teams to deliver faster and more confidently.

Duties & Responsibilities
What we are looking for
- Strong background in automation
- Strong skills in Bash, Ksh or Python scripting
- Experience with Azure
- Experience with Docker, OpenShift and/or Kubernetes
- Experience with Unix/Linux
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
- Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity practices
- A keen interest in finance
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills, maturity and the ability to work in a team
- Collaboration - the nature of what we do requires us to huddle around whiteboards
- debate solutions with the team, and talk to each other often - this means that we all work together in person in the office
- Depending on the level you apply for, anywhere between 2 and 10+ years of experience in DevOps
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Helm and ArgoCD
- DevSecOps experience
- IaC experience with Terraform and/or Ansible
- Knowledge of SQL
- Ideally, a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Previous experience in financial services, specifically credit and transactional products
Reference Number for this position is GZ61508 which is a Permanent position based in Rosebank offering a salary of R1.4m per annum , negotiable based on experience and ability.
