Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and scale Python/Django backend applications .
- Shape system architecture, APIs and data models .
- Build and deploy solutions across AWS and containerised environments .
- Solve complex technical challenges while keeping systems scalable, secure and reliable .
- Drive CI/CD, automated testing and quality engineering practices .
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership .
- Own technical delivery and help evolve the platform as it grows.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 5+ years’ hands-on Python development in production environments.
- Experience with Python frameworks and libraries; Django preferred .
- Strong understanding of domain modelling, service boundaries and software architecture .
- Experience developing in cloud and containerised environments , particularly AWS, Kubernetes or OpenShift/K3s .
- Proven experience evolving live production systems , including migrations, backward-compatible changes and phased releases.
- Experience in banking, fintech or other regulated environments is highly advantageous.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field , or equivalent practical experience.
