The Senior Developer: Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO) is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, integrating, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions to enable efficient and scalable business processes across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and related operations. The role is accountable for delivering high-quality, secure, upgrade-safe, and maintainable technical solutions through X++ development, application extensions, integrations, data migration, reporting, workflows, and business events in accordance with enterprise architecture and development standards. The incumbent will work closely with solution architects, functional consultants, business stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. The role is responsible for ensuring code quality through peer reviews, testing, performance optimisation, troubleshooting, and adherence to development best practices, while supporting build, deployment, and production support activities across the application lifecycle. In addition, the role contributes to Agile/SAFe delivery by participating in planning, estimation, sprint execution, and continuous improvement initiatives, while providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting reusable development frameworks, and supporting the ongoing stability, reliability, and evolution of the D365 FO platform. Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Technical Design Quality: Produce robust technical designs and detailed specifications aligned to architecture and factory standards

• FO Development : Develop D365 FO extensions, forms, tables, classes, workflows, reports and data entities to technical specification and factory standards.

• Code Quality & Standards : Drive high code quality through peer review, standards and reusable components?

• Integration Build: Build and support APIs, data entities, business events, DMF packages and integration components for finance and supply chain processes.

• Testing & Quality : Unit test code, support SIT/UAT, resolve defects and ensure designs remain upgrade safe and core clean.

• Performance & Stability : Debug X++ issues, optimize batch jobs and support performance troubleshooting in development and production contexts.

• Deployment Support : Support build, packaging, model management and deployment through DevOps and LCS processes.

• Production Support : Investigate and fix defects to keep D365 FO solutions running reliably.

• SAFe Delivery : Participate in estimation, sprint execution, reviews, retrospectives and continuous improvement.

• Performance & Stability : Optimize performance and resolve technical issues to keep solutions stable and efficient

• Developer Mentoring : Mentor and support junior developers to lift overall technical capability.

Skills, Experience & Education

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations) developer certification.

Experience

• 8+ years' experience in Dynamics 365 / AX development.

• Strong X++, extensions and Power Platform development experience.

• Experience with integrations, data entities, reports and data migration.

• Experience with Azure DevOps and ALM.

• FMCG, manufacturing or logistics industry experience advantageous

• DMF, business events, batch and debugging.

• ALM, source control and deployment basics.

• Technical documentation, problem solving and collaboration.
