- Our client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their Technology & Innovation team in Cape Town. This is a hands-on role for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, data modelling, database performance tuning, and Azure Data Factory ADF.
What you'll bring
- 10+ years' experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or related disciplines
- Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL development skills
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory ADF
- Expertise in data modelling 3NF, star and snowflake schemas
- Proven track record optimizing large-scale databases and data pipelines
- Experience with Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lakes, APIs, JSON/XML, and modern data integration patterns
- A passion for quality, performance, scalability, and mentoring others
