Senior Cyber Security Solution Architect

Introduction

One of our clients seeks to employ a Senior Cyber Security Solution Architect   to provide security architecture leadership across strategic IT and OT initiatives to join their winning team whom will act as senior security design authorities, ensuring that technology solutions are secure, resilient, compliant and aligned with the organisation’s cyber security strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead security architecture for assigned IT, OT, cloud and critical infrastructure initiatives.

Develop and maintain security architectures, standards, principles, patterns and technology roadmaps.

Design secure architectures for   ICS, SCADA, DCS, PLC and industrial network environments .

Develop secure IT/OT integration, network segmentation, remote access and third-party connectivity solutions.

Apply   Purdue Model and Zero Trust principles   to IT and OT environments.

Review and approve security architecture designs, technical specifications and solution proposals.

Conduct threat modelling, architecture reviews and cyber security risk assessments.

Develop security architectures across   Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, SaaS, hybrid and multi-cloud environments .

Provide security guidance for AI, analytics, IoT and other emerging technologies.

Define   Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), authentication and authorisation   architectures.

Support security operations architecture, including   SIEM, SOAR, XDR, EDR and threat intelligence .

Contribute to cyber resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery and ransomware recovery strategies.

Support governance, audits, regulatory engagements, procurement, technology evaluations and proof-of-concept initiatives.

Identify opportunities to reduce cyber risk, optimise security technologies and improve cost efficiency.

Provide ongoing knowledge transfer, mentoring, workshops and technical walkthroughs to internal teams.

Ensure appropriate documentation and formal handover of security architecture artefacts.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in   Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology   or a related field.

Honours or Master’s Degree in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Engineering or Business Technology is advantageous.

10–15 years’ experience in cyber security , with at least   7 years in security architecture .

Proven experience securing   critical infrastructure   and working across both IT and OT environments.

Strong experience in enterprise security architecture, cloud security, network security, identity management and security operations.

Practical experience with   ICS, SCADA, DCS, PLCs and industrial networks .

Experience developing and implementing security architecture within complex enterprise environments.

Have strong knowledge and practical experience in

Enterprise security architecture and IT/OT convergence.

ICS/SCADA and industrial cyber security.

Zero Trust and secure-by-design principles.

Cloud security across   Azure, AWS and Google Cloud .

Network segmentation and secure remote access.

IAM and PAM.

Threat modelling and security risk assessments.

Cyber resilience and recovery.

SIEM, SOAR, XDR, EDR and vulnerability management.

Secure software development principles.

Security frameworks and standards including   ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISA/IEC 62443, SABSA, TOGAF, COBIT, ISO 22301 and MITRE ATT&CK .
