Start free — we apply for you →A well-established South African insurance group is expanding its Corporate Actuarial team and is looking for a Senior Corporate Actuarial Analyst to support reserving and capital analytics across South Africa and Botswana.
In this role, you will
- Build, refine, and run reserving and capital models, extracting and transforming data to deliver accurate reports for quarterly and annual reviews.
- Present findings to senior stakeholders, supporting key business functions including reinsurance, investments, and capital management.
- Contribute to ORSA, stress and scenario testing, and solvency projections.
- Support annual planning and reinsurance programme renewals with detailed analyses.
- Apply your strong IFRS 17 knowledge to ensure compliance and enhance reporting.
What were looking for
- A degree in Actuarial Science or a related field, with significant exam progress towards qualification.
- At least 5 years of actuarial experience, with proven strength in building and validating models from scratch.
- Proficiency with reserving and capital modelling tools (e.g., Psicle, Igloo, ResQ) and the ability to deliver within tight reporting timelines.
- A detail-oriented, proactive problem solver who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
