- Manage the daily operations of the control room, ensuring optimal performance and security monitoring
- Supervise and coordinate control room operators to enforce compliance with security protocols and procedures
- Monitor, manage, and optimize surveillance systems, including HikCentral and Cathexis
- Analyze security threats, alarms, and incidents, taking immediate and appropriate action in coordination with site security teams
- Act as a key liaison with Mine Management, representing the company in formal SRM (Stakeholder Relationship Management) reviews
- Develop and implement control room policies, procedures and reporting structures
- Conduct training and refresher courses for control room staff on system operations and emergency response protocols
- Maintain accurate records and produce high-level reports and presentations on incidents, security breaches and system performance
- Ensure all security equipment is operational, maintained and regularly tested
- Provide strong operational leadership and ensure the control room maintains a professional, disciplined and compliant environment
What youll need
• PSIRA Registration (Grade A) mandatory • Minimum 10 years CCTV / Control Room Security Industry Experience • Excellent and proven Control Room Security management experience mandatory • Valid South African drivers license and own reliable vehicle mandatory • Must reside in the West Rand area or be willing to relocate at own cost • South African citizenship mandatory • Clear criminal record (verification required) • Proven experience in a control room environment, preferably within mining or high-risk security • Strong knowledge of security systems, including HikCentral and Cathexis • Exceptional leadership, decision-making and team management skills • Strong presentation, reporting and stakeholder engagement capabilities • Ability to professionally represent the company in discussions with Mine Management and external stakeholders • Technical understanding of surveillance equipment, alarms and access control technologies • Capacity to perform under pressure and make critical security decisions in real time Preferred:
- Previous experience in mining security operations
- Additional certifications in security management or surveillance systems
- Experience in incident investigation, risk assessment and conflict resolution
- Strategic thinking, proactive risk management and strong communication/diplomacy skills
