Job Description
- RPO Recruitment's client, a reputable building contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Foreman to join its Cape Town team. This role is suited to a hands-on construction professional with a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
- Manage site labour, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate material deliveries and site resources to support efficient project execution.
- Liaise with the site management team to resolve construction issues and maintain project progress.
- Maintain accurate site records and report on project progress.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Building or related qualifications
- Minimum 10–15 years' experience as a Construction Foreman within the building construction industry.
- Proven commercial construction experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Valid driver's licence.
