QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A relevant Degree /NQF level 7 qualification in Purchasing Management / Logistics or equivalent
- At least 5 years' relevant experience of which at least 1 years have been at an equivalent level within a medium to large size organization
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to maintain high-level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Sound track record in effectively managing complex and sensitive stakeholder engagements at all levels.
- Sound understanding of policy and legislative frameworks in area of responsibility
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Development of demand and supply flowchart Monitor suppliers performance to ensure service delivery Delivery of all ordered items according to agreed delivery terms Provision of procurement support to all directorates and provincial offices
- Monitor and adjust order process to maximize quality and service level while minimizing inventory Ensure compliance with relevant legislations, SALGA policy and any other regulations governing SCM Monthly monitoring and recording of deviations; non-compliance and corrective measures instituted Implementation of SCM Policy
- Reports on the implementation plan Effective handling of queries All queries to be handled as they emerge for client satisfaction To manage the acquisition functions, which includes but are not limited to: Requisitioning, Quotations and Receipt Compliance with National Treasury reporting requirements
- Ensure the supplier data on the system is updated and 100% information complete Continuous monitoring of supplier database Quarterly monitoring of supplier database Ensure that all advertised bids are handled within the prescribed validity period and compilation of statistics of bids awarded for reporting to National Treasury Quarterly reports with all Treasury practice notes and regulatory reporting requirements
- Ensure achievement of affirmative procurement Compliance with all performance management processes Implementation of customer care charter Implementation of the corrective measures for audit queries pertaining to SCM.
