Our client is a growing technology company in the security sector, based in Cape Town and operating nationally. They need a senior, well-connected business development professional to drive growth. The successful candidate will be the face of the business to senior decision-makers. They will build strategic partnerships and close high-value deals. This is not a junior or mid-level sales role.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain senior relationships with public- and private-sector security stakeholders
- Act as a trusted consultant: understand each client's needs and design the right technology solution
- Prepare and present proposals, business cases and tender submissions
- Negotiate and close high-value, long-term contracts
- Represent the company at industry events and stakeholder meetings
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, and report on forecasts and results to the directors
- Feed market and client insight back into product and strategy
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum requirements
- At least 10 years in senior B2B sales or business development, with at least 5 years in security technology, ICT or SaaS
- A proven record of closing large, complex deals, with notable, verifiable achievements
- An established network in the security industry and the public sector
- Strong consultative selling skills, comfortable presenting to executives, government officials and boards
- Experience with public-sector procurement and tenders
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A valid South African driver's licence and own vehicle
- Willing to travel nationally
- A clear criminal record
Advantageous
- A degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing or a technical field
- Knowledge of security or surveillance technology, or cloud-based platforms
- Understanding of POPIA and data-privacy requirements
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans
Package & Remuneration
Salary: R90 000 per month CTC
