- A relevant National Diploma qualification as stipulated in the national building regulations;
- Five 5 to Eight 8 years' experience as a Building Inspector;
- Eligibility for registration as a Peace Officer Law Enforcement Officer;
- Knowledge of the National Building Regulations Act, Building Standards Act and all other applicable legislation;
- Proficiency in the full MS Suite; and
- A valid Code B Drivers' License
Key Performance Areas
- Supervise the Building Inspectorate;
- Undertake Inspectorate duties involved in the building development process;
- Perform site/ counter duties;
- Undertake site inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legislation;
- Perform legal administrative functions; and
- Manage staff administration
