Senior BI Analyst responsible for transforming data into actionable business insights through reporting, analytics, and Business Intelligence solutions. Develops datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and reports that support data-driven decision-making, while partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Analytics
- Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics.
- Build and optimise data models, datasets, and reporting solutions.
- Analyse data to identify trends, insights, risks, and opportunities.
- Present findings and support data-driven decision-making.
Data Engineering
- Develop PySpark notebooks and reporting datasets in Microsoft Fabric.
- Build scalable data models and optimise SQL queries.
- Work with Lakehouse and enterprise data platforms.
Data Quality & Collaboration
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and documentation.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver BI solutions.
- Support best practices, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Job Experience and skill required
- Degree / diploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or related
- 4+ years experience in Analytics Engineering
- Experience developing PySpark notebooks within Microsoft Fabric or Apache Spark Environments
- Strong SQL, PowerBI semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions
- Experience with Microsoft Data Platform (Microsoft Fabric, PowerBI, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory)
- Experience in Python, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing Principles
