SENIOR BI ANALYST

Job Summary To provide insightful analysis and reporting to decision makers regarding various issues related to performance management and performance measure development. Further, to assist with implementing process improvements, tracking performance impacts, and reporting any correlation to improvements. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables: Complex Data Analysis Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and ongoing requests in terms of data quality Develop methodologies and methods for analysing and presenting data Use and support database applications and analytical tools to analyse the data quality levels Research new data sources and analytical tools with the aim of improving the process and underlying data analysis Using knowledge and experience to identify anomalies and inconsistencies in data and flag to relevant parties Ensure that the quality of data is accurately measured, tracked and reported on Provision of Strategic Business Direction and Insights Ensure continuous innovation on data analytics providing strategic business direction Collect and analyse data and providing insights to client and the business assisting in strategic decision making Building of databases to identify trends and inconsistencies, assisting in future decision making Prioritize problems to ensure that the greatest business benefits are realized Collaborate with numerous stakeholders for specific problems to further grasp the problem specifics Collect and process/analyse data to quantify the scope, nature and severity of the problem Define and evaluate options for the solution to a given prioritized problem Apply business analytical skills to ensure business requirements are understood and met Ensure the appropriate level of documentation and recordkeeping is kept according to prescribed requirements Identify client needs with regards to data analysis and assist the business through providing valuable insights Develop a business case for proposed best solution to validate business logic and overall business benefit for the proposed solution Monitor the operational and functional benefits derived from the solution Provision of Strategic Business Direction and Insights Ensure continuous innovation on data analytics providing strategic business direction Collect and analyse data and providing insights to client and the business assisting in strategic decision making Building of databases to identify trends and inconsistencies, assisting in future decision making Prioritize problems to ensure that the greatest business benefits are realized Collaborate with numerous stakeholders for specific problems to further grasp the problem specifics Collect and process/analyse data to quantify the scope, nature and severity of the problem Define and evaluate options for the solution to a given prioritized problem Apply business analytical skills to ensure business requirements are understood and met Ensure the appropriate level of documentation and recordkeeping is kept according to prescribed requirements Identify client needs with regards to data analysis and assist the business through providing valuable insights Develop a business case for proposed best solution to validate business logic and overall business benefit for the proposed solution Monitor the operational and functional benefits derived from the solution Stakeholder and Project Management Managing conflicting priorities of internal and external stakeholders Managing of stakeholder expectations Facilitation of workshops with internal and external stakeholders Attend and present at Monthly Scorecard Meetings and provide support to internal stakeholders Attend weekly meetings with senior client stakeholders and present business insights Management of projects on an ad-hoc basis Provide direction and learnings from projects managed Ensure processes are put in place to support accurate data collection and distribution to the business for projects
