Start free — we apply for you →Job profile: To ensure that all electrical equipment machinery is maintained in good and safe working order for all NTP Facilities Key Performance Areas Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following: Preventative Maintenance • Undertake preventative maintenance according to the planned maintenance schedule as issued by team leader. • Fully complete documentation in terms of inspection lists and relevant Sop’s • Where there is no Sop ‘s a conventional or an RPWP must be filled • Completed documentation should be returned to the team leader. • Identifying areas for Improvement by analysing PM data to identify Trends and to Optimise Electrical System Reliability. • Schedule time between Maintenance and Production for preventative maintenance on weekly basis • Complete Predictive Maintenance using tools like Thermal imaging, Vibration analysis and Oil Sampling. • Minimize Downtime and Extend equipment Lifecycle. Testing and Measurements on Critical Equipment’s to verify if the equipment is operating within Safe and Efficient parameters. Corrective Maintenance • Documentation should be completed accurately on the Fault and diagnosis and Repairs including parts to be replaced. • Prioritize on urgent Maintenance break-down- Prompt Response to Breakdown. • Accurate Diagnostics: Identifying the Root Cause of the Fault / Failures to ensure effective Repairs and Replacement to Restore electrical Systems to a Safe and Functional State. • Safety Protocols – Follow Established Safety Procedures to prevent Injury and incidents • Electrical motors and control panels fault-finding • Keep adequate stock of the critical spares Quality Workmanship – Ensure repairs are done to high standard, Meeting relevant Codes and Regulations. New Installations • Undertake ad hoc electrical installations (construction) as required • Obtain drawings from the Drawing office and obtain Certificates of compliance from inspector/contractor • Adherence to Specifications- ensuring work done is in accordance with Project Specifications, drawings and relevant codes and regulations. • Quality Control Verifying that all materials and workmanship meet high standards and are installed correctly. • Collaboration with other Trades and Engineering Department to ensure smooth project execution. • Timely Completion – Meeting Project Deadlines. • Testing and Commissioning -Verifying all Systems installed correctly and Functions as intended including testing and commissioning. • Undertake ad hoc electrical installations (construction) as required • Documentation of Filling from the beginning to End of Project-” As Built drawings and Documentations”. • Compliance with Regulations – meets relevant Electrical Codes, Standards and Regulations. • Liaise with the drawing office to ensure that the drawings are updated to standard. SHEQ Management • Adhere to all safety aspects of NTP. • Conduct Lebo observations according to NTP schedule. • Safety Protocols follow established Safety Procedures to prevent Injury and incidents • Quality Workmanship ensure repairs are done to high standard, Meeting relevant Codes and Regulations.
