We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Angular Developer to join a major digital transformation programme within Corporate and Investment Banking.

The successful candidate will help design and develop a secure, modern digital lending platform that improves deal intake, collaboration, task management, document management and deal-progress tracking.

This position requires a genuinely senior Angular specialist who can establish front-end architecture and development patterns, make technical decisions, mentor other engineers and troubleshoot complex application issues.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Angular applications for corporate clients and internal banking teams.

• Establish front-end architecture, coding standards and reusable component patterns.

• Build responsive, secure and intuitive interfaces using Angular and TypeScript.

• Apply modern Angular development practices, including RxJS and Angular Signals.

• Contribute to micro-frontend architecture and module federation where required.

• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs, microservices and API Gateway services.

• Implement authentication and authorisation using OAuth2, OIDC and JWT.

• Develop entitlement-aware interfaces for internal and external user groups.

• Build real-time functionality using WebSockets or Server-Sent Events.

• Support collaboration, deal tracking, task management and document-management features.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit tests.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor intermediate developers.

• Diagnose and resolve complex front-end and integration issues.

• Collaborate with backend, AI, cloud and integration engineers.

• Participate in PI planning, Agile ceremonies and monthly delivery reviews.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Essential Requirements

• Approximately eight or more years of software development experience.

• Advanced, hands-on Angular development experience.

• Expert-level TypeScript knowledge.

• Strong understanding of Angular component architecture and reusable design patterns.

• Practical experience with RxJS and/or Angular Signals.

• Experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of microservices and API Gateway patterns.

• Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, JWT and role-based access control.

• Experience developing real-time functionality using WebSockets or SSE.

• Strong unit-testing, clean-code and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Ability to design technical patterns and contribute to architectural decisions.

• Previous experience mentoring or technically guiding other developers.

Advantageous Experience

• Micro-frontends and module federation.

• .NET and/or Python development exposure.

• AWS services such as IAM, S3 and CloudWatch.

• PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

• Investment banking, lending or broader financial-services experience.

• Secure digital platforms serving both clients and internal users.

• SAFe, Agile Release Trains or PI planning.
