Senior Angular Developer - Johannesburg | Hybrid Contract

Are you an experienced Angular Developer looking for your next contract opportunity? Our client requires a strong front-end specialist to join a high-performing engineering environment, working on enterprise digital banking solutions and delivering modern applications at scale.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Develop and maintain robust Angular applications.

• Translate technical and business requirements into high-quality front-end solutions.

• Take ownership of greenfield application development and new feature delivery.

• Improve and extend existing enterprise platforms.

• Participate in solution architecture and technical design conversations.

• Perform code reviews and promote sound engineering practices.

• Diagnose application problems and resolve production defects efficiently.

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Quality Engineers and backend teams.

• Provide technical input across multiple initiatives where required.

• Highlight risks, dependencies and delivery blockers to the relevant stakeholders.

• Assist with continuous improvement across the development environment.

What You’ll Need

• Solid commercial Angular development experience.

• A demonstrable track record of delivering production-ready applications.

• Experience developing applications and features from inception.

• Strong knowledge of modern front-end development practices.

• Experience in an Agile development environment.

• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

• A methodical approach to resolving complex technical problems.

• The ability to operate independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Readiness to complete a hands-on technical assessment.

Nice to Have

• Financial services or banking experience.

• Exposure to customer-facing, loyalty or rewards platforms.

• Familiarity with Java backend technologies.

• Knowledge of RESTful API integration and distributed systems.

• DevOps and release-support experience.

• Cloud exposure.

• Experience working on greenfield or platform modernisation programmes.
