- Manage the full Accounts Payable function, including invoice capture, processing, supplier reconciliations and settlement of supplier accounts.
- Manage transport creditor accounts and related reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and Board reporting packs.
- Support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Calculate and coordinate payment of company taxes, including VAT, Income Tax, Dividends Tax, Carbon Tax and Royalty Tax.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset and property registers.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations, including fixed asset and intercompany accounts.
- Assist with annual audits and the compilation of annual financial statements.
- Administer insurance declarations and claims.
- Manage lease agreements.
- Manage petty cash balances and conduct relevant reviews.
- Act as an authorised bank signatory for the organisation and associated entities.
- Provide support across accounting, financial and related administrative functions as required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Postgraduate qualification in Finance is essential.
- Experience gained after completing articles will be advantageous.
- 2–4 years' relevant experience in an accounting environment, preferably with management-level exposure.
- Strong understanding of financial management and business operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of South African income tax, VAT and applicable tax legislation.
- Strong numerical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced computer literacy, including strong MS Office and Excel skills.
- Experience working within a financial environment and familiarity with online financial systems such as JDE will be advantageous.
- Practical understanding of accounting practices and financial reporting.
- Experience with advanced Excel functions, macros, sophisticated spreadsheet development and financial modelling.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- A strong team and service-oriented approach, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
