Duties & Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Somerset West. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and finalizing financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The role also includes working with accounting software systems, management statements, payroll and VAT management, knowledgeable in taxation, supervising or mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with colleagues and clients to resolve accounting queries.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Candidates should possess advanced skills in Financial Statements and Accounting Software, with the ability to work efficiently across multiple systems and platforms.

• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide clear recommendations.

• Candidates should possess excellent knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and best practices.

• Candidates must have the relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance and a professional membership (e.g., SAIPA or SAICA).

• Experience in a senior accounting or financial reporting role, preferably within an accounting firm.

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional client relationships.
