Ideal candidate must have the following: • Minimum of 10 years proven working experience as a Senior Accountant • Must be fluent in English and good understand of Afrikaans – Essential • Analytical & Problem-Solving – With strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data and spot operational or financial anomalies. • Excellent communication skills - Articulate verbal and written communication skills to present financial reports and risk insights to senior leadership or boards. • Accountability & Resilience: High level of personal accountability, stress tolerance, and the ability to manage strict reporting deadlines under pressure. Core Skills & Technical Competencies • Financial & Technical Accounting: o Solid command of IFRS and tax frameworks. o Preparing accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis, cash-flow forecasting, and budget control. o Financial modelling and corporate finance/transaction support. • Risk & Governance Acumen: o Understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, internal controls, and corporate governance principles o Familiarity with anti-money laundering (AML), regulatory compliance, and operational/financial risk assessment. o Ability to evaluate financial exposures, margins, working capital, and risk-mitigation controls. • Systems & Software Proficiency: o Advanced Microsoft Excel (modelling, pivot tables, data manipulation). o Global MS / server / email o Experience with cloud accounting or ERP platforms - Xero, Monday, Egnyte, and RubiQ would be advantages. Qualifications necessary for this position: Matric Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting, Financial Management, or BCompt (NQF Level 7) and B.Com Hons with accounting as major. Valid driver’s license and own vehicle - not negotiable
