Semi Skilled Aircraft Assistant

Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential); Minimum 1 year of experience working within an aviation maintenance environment with hands-on exposure to aircraft maintenance (Essential); Experience assisting with aircraft maintenance activities (Advantageous); Experience with aircraft interior removal and installation (Advantageous); Must be physically fit to work in an aircraft maintenance environment; Must be available to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when operationally required; Must be prepared to work overtime when required; Must be willing to work in confined spaces and at heights; Basic knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices; Basic understanding of aircraft safety requirements; Knowledge of aircraft hand tools and workshop equipment; Understanding of aircraft maintenance environments; Basic understanding of aircraft interior and cargo compartment components; Basic knowledge of housekeeping and FOD control; Good mechanical aptitude; Ability to follow instructions accurately; Good communication skills; Good teamwork skills; Good organisational skills; Ability to perform physically demanding work; Ability to work under pressure; Basic problem-solving ability.
