Security X-Ray Assembly Technician

Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Security X-Ray Assembly Technician to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and quality inspection of OEM security X-ray equipment while ensuring all products meet company and industry quality standards.

This position is ideal for someone with mechanical and electrical assembly experience, or a technically minded individual who is eager to learn and develop within a specialised manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble and test OEM security X-ray machines and related equipment.

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly according to technical specifications.

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Conduct basic fault-finding and troubleshooting during assembly and testing.

• Perform quality inspections and complete production documentation.

• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and health and safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to meet production targets.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates with a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

• Matric (Grade 12).

• Valid South African ID.

• Valid South African driver's licence.

• N3 to N6 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent.

• Occupational Health & Safety Training (if applicable)
