Security Solutions Advisory Consultant

Introduction

Our client is looking for an experienced   ICT & Security Solutions Consultant   to provide independent technical oversight during the evaluation of responses to an enterprise CCTV and Access Control Request for Proposal (RFP). This is a   short-term consulting   opportunity suited to a highly   experienced ICT procurement and security technology specialist   with a proven track record in evaluating complex enterprise solutions. The successful consultant will work alongside the client's evaluation committee, ensuring that all submissions are assessed fairly, objectively, and in accordance with the approved evaluation methodology while providing expert technical guidance and strategic recommendations.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for

• Reviewing the RFP documentation, evaluation methodology, and supporting procurement documentation.

• Finalising and validating evaluation criteria, scoring models, and assessment frameworks.

• Conducting detailed technical and commercial evaluations of vendor submissions.

• Assessing compliance with mandatory and technical requirements.

• Evaluating vendors' technical capabilities, proposed solution architectures, implementation methodologies, and ongoing support models.

• Reviewing commercial proposals, pricing structures, and overall value for money.

• Facilitating consensus scoring sessions with the evaluation committee.

• Coordinating and participating in vendor presentations, demonstrations, and clarification sessions.

• Reviewing vendor responses to technical and commercial clarification requests.

• Identifying implementation risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Preparing comprehensive evaluation documentation throughout the assessment process.

• Producing a final recommendation report that includes:

• Executive Summary

• Vendor Comparison Matrix

• Evaluation Scores

• Risk Assessment

• Recommended Supplier

• Business Justification for Recommendation

• Presenting evaluation findings and recommendations to the client's evaluation committee and executive stakeholders where required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have

• 10+ years of experience in ICT consulting, procurement, enterprise technology advisory, or related fields.

• Proven experience evaluating complex ICT, enterprise technology, or security solution tenders.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise CCTV and Access Control solutions.

• Experience with physical security technologies, including surveillance systems, access control platforms, and integrated security solutions.

• Sound understanding of ICT governance, procurement best practices, and formal evaluation methodologies.

• Experience preparing executive-level evaluation reports and procurement recommendations.

• Excellent analytical, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills.

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to assess value-for-money propositions.

• The ability to remain objective, impartial, and independent throughout the procurement evaluation process.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following will be advantageous

• Hikvision CCTV environments.

• Impro Technologies Access Control systems.

• Multi-site enterprise security implementations.

• Higher education, corporate, or public sector procurement environments.

• ICT infrastructure and systems integration projects.

• Enterprise vendor evaluation and supplier selection initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Procurement, or a related discipline.

• Relevant professional certifications would be advantageous, including:

• PMP

• PRINCE2

• CISSP

• PSP

• CPP

• ITIL

• CIPS

• Or equivalent industry-recognised certifications
