Security Operations Manager - Parktown

Real Estate Group with Head Offices based in Parktown is looking for a Security Operations Manager responsible for the security of all of sites ; managing the guards in conjunction with the outsourced guarding company . The suitable candidate will also oversee building cleaning staff ; dealing with any HR issues that arise with the guards or cleaners. You will also be involved in managing the gardening staff at head office and at some of the sites. Other duties include handling all IOD's for the staff and checking various tracking systems that are in the fleet vehicles and onsite CCTV at the various properties. Duties: Protect the company's staff, property, and items by creating safety rules, managing security guards, and handling emergencies Running risk checks, fixing safety gaps, and working with outside police or vendors. Write and use safety policies to stop theft, fraud, or harm. Hire; train, and watch over security guards and officers. Look for weak spots in buildings and test security tools like cameras and alarms. Lead the team when alarms go off or accidents happen and write reports on what went wrong. Keep track of the security budget and choose outsourced security companies. Requirements: A degree in security management, safety, or criminal justice. Health and Safety Qualification / Certificate At least PSIRA Grade B At least 5 years of experience in private security Good leader, clear speaker, and calm under pressure. Own car and driver's license essential.
