Security, Health & Safety Manager

An An opportunity has become available for an experienced and proactive Security, Health & Safety Manager to lead and manage all aspects of security, health, safety, and compliance across our hotel, including oversight of the Control Room. The successful candidate will develop and maintain effective security and safety strategies, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, minimize workplace and guest-related risks, and promote a culture of safety and security throughout the business. Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards.

• Manage physical security systems, access control, CCTV, alarms, and guarding services.

• Oversee and supervise the 24-hour Control Room and security guarding teams, ensuring effective CCTV monitoring, alarm response, and access control across the hotel and grounds.

• Lead investigations into security breaches, incidents, and losses.

• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations.

• Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.

• investigate workplace incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions.

• Monitor compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure all legal appointments, permits, and certifications remain current.

• Develop and manage security and safety training programs.

• Promote a culture of safety and security throughout the organization.

• Prepare monthly security and health & safety reports, tracking performance against agreed KPIs (incident rates, response times, audit outcomes).

• Ensure accurate maintenance of records, registers, and compliance documentation.

• Coordinate security for hotel events and functions, liaising with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Events teams to safeguard guests and staff.

Desired Experience & Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Security Management, Risk Management, or a related field

- Security Management qualification advantageous; PSIRA registration (Grade A/B) required.

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Security and Health & Safety role, ideally in hospitality.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
