A Technical Security Manager oversees an organization's digital and physical security systems, managing security infrastructure, technical teams, and risk mitigation strategies
Duties & Responsibilities
- System Management: Maintain and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption protocols, and virtual private networks (VPNs).
- Vulnerability Assessments: Run regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and fix system gaps.
- Team Leadership: Supervise security analysts and engineers, assigning tasks, handling ticket queues, and managing performance.
- Incident Response: Lead investigations into security breaches, perform root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Compliance & Collaboration: Work with IT architects and risk teams to ensure systems meet industry security standards and legal regulations.
