Job Title: Section Manager (Manufacturing / Factory) Trade Tested Start Date: 2026-07-28 - 2026-08-27 Vacancy Type: Permanent CPT001245 Sectors: Manufacturing & Distribution Location: Eastern Cape , Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) Salary: R575k TCOE Annually Brief: Section Manager (Manufacturing / Factory) required for Port Elizabeth. Detail: An experienced and hands-on Section Manager to lead Charge Room operations within a manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Production Manager , you will drive production performance, coordinate maintenance activities, lead Shift Supervisors and ensure production targets are achieved through continuous improvement. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric). National Certificate in Engineering, Electrical or Technical Field (NQF 5). Trade Tested Electrician or Millwright. Certificate in Accounting and Leadership/Supervisory Management. Diploma (NQF 6) or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (NQF 7) advantageous. 10 years' experience in electrical production/manufacturing operations. 5 years' supervisory or management experience. Computer literate (MS Office and production systems). Technical Competencies: Production and manufacturing management. Maintenance planning and coordination. Continuous improvement and process optimisation. Production planning and performance monitoring. Risk, compliance and budget management. Staff leadership and performance management. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement and improve production systems to maximise efficiency, productivity and output. Monitor production performance, investigate deviations and implement corrective action plans. Work closely with Engineering, Production Control and Maintenance teams to optimise equipment availability. Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and meet production targets. Ensure production standards, procedures and operating methods are consistently implemented. Identify operational risks and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and represent the department in operational meetings. Lead, coach and develop Shift Supervisors through performance management and employee development initiatives. Contribute to budgeting, monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities. Promote continuous improvement initiatives across production operations. Behavioural Competencies: Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Proactive and action orientated.
