Duties & Responsibilities

Role purpose: To lead the Accounting and Reporting function, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timely delivery of financial accounting, statutory reporting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.   The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, maintain robust financial controls, ensure compliance with statutory and organisational requirements, and support executive decision-making through insightful financial analysis. Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes. • Review and approve financial statements and reconciliations. • Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and accurate accounting treatment of transactions. • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting. • Coordinate statutory and regulatory reporting requirements. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes. • Review financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses. • Provide meaningful variance analysis and management commentary. • Deliver financial insights and recommendations to Executive Management. • Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and profitability. Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, taxation legislation, company policies, and internal controls. • Lead internal and external audit activities. • Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and governance standards. • Drive continuous improvement in financial controls and compliance processes. • Manage financial risks through effective monitoring and control measures. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead and develop high-performing finance teams.
  • Provide financial guidance to business leaders and executives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12 with Accounting and Business Economics
  • BCom Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field
  • Honours Degree will be advantageous
  • CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification will be advantageous
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • ERP/Financial Systems experience
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting
  • Minimum 5 years' management experience leading finance teams
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, and financial governance
  • Experience managing internal and external audit processes
  • Experience implementing finance systems and continuous improvement initiatives
