SEASONAL CODE 08 COURIER DRIVER Industry: Courier and Logistics Employment Type: Seasonal / Fixed-Term Contract Recruitment: Dynamic Outsourced Solutions Position Overview My client in the courier and logistics industry is seeking reliable, responsible, and experienced Seasonal Code 08 Courier Drivers to assist with increased delivery volumes during the peak season. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely collection and delivery of parcels, documents, and other consignments in accordance with the company's operational procedures and customer service standards. Candidates must have a minimum of two years' courier driving experience, a valid Code 08 driver's licence, and a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP). The ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent time management, attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced courier environment. Key Responsibilities Delivery and Collection Operations

• Collect and deliver parcels, documents, and consignments according to allocated daily delivery schedules and routes.

• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately, safely, and within the required timeframes.

• Verify delivery addresses, customer details, parcel quantities, and relevant delivery documentation before departure.

• Obtain the necessary proof of delivery (POD), including customer signatures, electronic confirmations, or other required documentation.

• Ensure that all parcels are handled with care to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement.

• Follow designated routes and make efficient use of time while adhering to road traffic regulations.

Vehicle Management and Road Safety

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe to operate.

• Report vehicle defects, maintenance requirements, accidents, or incidents to the relevant supervisor immediately.

• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned delivery vehicle.

• Comply with all road traffic legislation, company driving policies, and safety procedures.

• Drive responsibly and professionally at all times, protecting the vehicle, cargo, other road users, and the company's reputation.

Documentation and Operational Compliance

• Ensure that all delivery notes, collection records, waybills, and proof-of-delivery documents are completed accurately.

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, failed delivery attempts, and returned parcels.

• Report discrepancies, damaged parcels, incorrect addresses, and unsuccessful deliveries promptly.

• Follow company procedures for the handling of cash-on-delivery consignments, where applicable.

• Ensure that all parcels and consignments are accounted for throughout the delivery process.

Customer Service

• Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, clients, and members of the public.

• Communicate courteously and provide clear updates regarding deliveries or collection delays.

• Handle customer queries and delivery-related concerns professionally, referring unresolved matters to the appropriate supervisor.

• Maintain a high standard of service to support customer satisfaction and the company's service-level commitments.

Peak-Season Operational Support

• Manage increased delivery volumes efficiently during busy seasonal periods.

• Work according to allocated schedules and operational requirements.

• Demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours, overtime, weekends, or public holidays where required and lawfully agreed.

• Assist with loading and offloading parcels where necessary, following safe handling procedures.

• Work collaboratively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, delivery assistants, and other team members to meet daily delivery targets.
