- Grade 10
- Relevant experience in reading road marking plans and mapping out islands and related markings on the road surface
- A valid Code C1 driving licence and a valid PrDP
- Physical fitness and health
- Willingness and ability to work shifts, standby and overtime
- Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions
- Supervise, organise and support a team to execute maintenance work on roads, storm water networks and traffic signs and markings, which also includes concrete work, tar patching, road building and handling vehicles and equipment
