SAP Technical Consultant (Entry) - SAP Basis | Aftersales Parts Logistics & Warehouse Systems

Introduction

We are looking for an SAP Technical Consultant (Entry) to join a dynamic IT environment supporting SAP technical operations, administration and system maintenance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career SAP professional with 1–3 years of SAP Basis experience who is looking to strengthen their technical expertise while working within a global enterprise IT landscape.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior technical consultants and contribute to SAP system monitoring, incident support, technical changes, transport management, maintenance and operational activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

SAP Technical Administration

• Assist with SAP Basis administration and technical operations.

• Support SAP maintenance activities under the guidance of senior team members.

• Assist with maintaining SAP system availability and performance.

• Participate in periodic maintenance, patching and upgrade activities.

System Monitoring

• Perform SAP system health checks.

• Monitor SAP technical systems and applications.

• Review system dumps, traces and logs.

• Assist with identifying and resolving technical issues.

Incident & Request Management

• Provide first- and second-level technical support.

• Assist with incident and service-request resolution.

• Troubleshoot SAP Basis-related issues with guidance from senior consultants.

• Follow established operational and support procedures.

Change & Transport Management

• Assist with SAP transport imports and release activities.

• Support technical change implementations.

• Follow established change-control processes.

• Assist with go-lives and technical deployments.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Maintain technical documentation and operational records.

• Coordinate with development and operations teams.

• Follow established IT processes, standards and guidelines.

• Participate in after-hours support as part of the DevOps team when required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Essential Skills & Experience

Candidates must have

• 1–3 years of SAP Basis experience

• SAP Basis technical administration experience

• Basic SAP HANA Database knowledge

• Basic SAP Oracle Database knowledge

• Basic SuSE Linux Operating System knowledge

• Basic PaaS and IaaS knowledge

• Experience with SAP Transport Management

• Understanding of change-control processes

• Willingness to learn and develop SAP technical skills

• Relevant IT Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills

• Good planning, listening and time-management skills
