We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Analyst to join our Retail Technology team, supporting the SAP Retail environment across Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, Pricing and Promotions. This role is suited to someone who can translate complex retail business requirements into practical, sustainable system solutions while guiding delivery teams and supporting business users.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and co-ordinate all activities related to an archiving implementation, with business stakeholders, SAP technical and functional support teams
- Document, assist, and co-ordinate sign-off activities with support teams and business stakeholders
- Good understanding of system landscape and design
- System Integration and Intermediate Documents knowledge
- Good problem-solving capabilities are necessary to investigate and propose alternate solutions
- Consult or assist in solution design
- Considering legal requirements applicable to the specific business
- Analysing database and table growth and alignment to business process
- Data Analysis - Object level
- DB monitoring ongoing process for Operations
- SAP Archive Development Kit knowledge
- Creation of archiving objects
- Pre- and post-archiving requirements knowledge
- Technical Customising
- Assist support teams and business stakeholders to identify housekeeping activities
- Scheduling and monitoring all data archiving jobs
- Archiving administration, monitoring, and resolution of failed or incomplete archive sessions
- Activation of Archive Info Structures
- Set up and monitor periodic Archive Jobs - Execution of archive runs
- Archiving timeline
- Assistance in training users (where relevant) on archive document retrieval
- New Storage System migration testing
- Upgrade testing (Archiving and Storage)
Package & Remuneration
- 5+ years of relevant SAP experience
- Preferred Systems: SAP ERP, SAP BW, SAP CAR
- Relevant SAP Certification or 3 – 5 years of SAP Retail Support or SAP ERP experience
- Extensive experience in Applications Operations, Business Processes, and Process Integration
