We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Sales & Verification Agent to join our dynamic short-term lending team.

About the Role

As a Sales & Verification Agent, you will manage the customer journey from the initial application through to verification. You will assist clients with their loan applications, explain our products, verify supporting documentation, and ensure every application meets our lending and compliance standards before submission for approval.

This role combines sales, customer service, administration, and verification, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in accuracy and delivering excellent customer experiences.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales

• Contact prospective and existing clients using company-assigned dialers.

• Promote our short-term loan products in a professional and ethical manner.

• Assist customers in completing loan applications.

• Explain loan terms, repayment obligations, fees, and conditions clearly.

• Follow up on incomplete applications to maximise conversions.

• Maintain accurate customer records and application notes.

• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Verification

• Review and verify customer documentation.

• Verify bank statements, proof of income, identification documents, and supporting information.

• Ensure submitted bank statements: Cover the required period.

○ Belong to the applicant.

○ Display the client's name, account number, and bank details clearly.

○ Show no signs of tampering or alteration.

• Conduct affordability and income verification.

• Ensure all applications comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Escalate suspicious or fraudulent applications where necessary.

• Submit verified applications for final approval.

Customer Service & Administration

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the application process.

• Keep customers informed of their application progress.

• Accurately update CRM and loan management systems.

• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team objectives.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.

• 12 months experience in sales, customer service, call centres, or financial services is advantageous.

• 6 months experience in loan processing or document verification is essential.

• Good computer literacy.

• Excellent communication skills in English (additional South African languages will be advantageous).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Package & Remuneration
