Pay: R7,000 – R20,000 per month

Location: On the road (KZN region), based out of Waterfall
Lions Den Biltong is a family-owned business supplying premium biltong, peanuts, pork crackling and snack products to customers across the KwaZulu-Natal region. We are looking for an experienced, self-driven Sales Representative to join our team.
About the Role
This is a van sales position combining sales, delivery and merchandising in a single customer visit. You will work a set route, visiting an established base of 30–50 customers per day, with each customer serviced approximately every three weeks. Using our mobile app, you will generate invoices on-site, manage stock in your vehicle, and maintain merchandising standards at each stop.
Deliveries take place Tuesday to Thursday. Most Mondays and Fridays are off, except where special deliveries are required.
Training & Start Date
Successful candidates will complete a training period from November to December 2026, working alongside our existing sales representative to learn the route, customers and processes. Full employment commences in January 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive an established route to service existing customers on schedule
- Sell and merchandise Lions Den Biltong products at each stop
- Identify and secure new customers through cold calling and route prospecting
- Upsell existing customers on additional products from our range that they are not yet purchasing
- Process on-site invoicing using the company's mobile application
- Manage and account for van stock accurately
- Build and maintain strong, lasting customer relationships
- Achieve monthly sales and growth targets
- Represent the Lions Den Biltong brand professionally at every visit
Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver's licence, held for a minimum of 5 years
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales representative role
- Proven ability to work independently and stay self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship-building skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage a full route schedule
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
