Sales Representative - Transformers & Substations

THIS IS NOT A JUNIOR SALES POSITION

ArmCoil Afrika is looking for an experienced and well-connected Sales Representative to take ownership of our customer base across Rustenburg, the North West mining belt and surrounding areas .

We are looking for a proven sales professional with hands-on experience in the transformer, substation, miniature substation or mining electrical equipment industry . The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the products, the industry and the customers — and, most importantly, an established network within the mining and electrical sector.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of and grow ArmCoil’s customer base across Rustenburg and the surrounding mining areas.

• Develop new business opportunities within the mining, industrial and electrical sectors.

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.

• Identify and engage with mines, contractors, OEMs, EPCs and other key industry stakeholders.

• Conduct customer visits and site visits to understand requirements and identify opportunities.

• Prepare quotations, follow up on opportunities and drive the sales process through to completion.

• Provide customers with technically relevant product information and solutions, working closely with ArmCoil’s technical team where required.

• Identify upcoming projects, tenders and equipment requirements within the territory.

• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

• Represent ArmCoil professionally in the marketplace and build long-term customer relationships.

• Achieve agreed sales and business development targets.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Products & Industry Experience

Proven experience in one or more of the following is essential

• Distribution Transformers

• Power Transformers

• Miniature Substations

• Mobile Substations

• Mining Electrical Equipment

• Transformer Repairs and related services

You should have a solid understanding of the mining electrical environment and be comfortable engaging with technical and commercial decision-makers.

Requirements

• Proven sales experience within the transformer, substation, miniature substation or related electrical equipment industry.

• Established relationships within the mining sector , particularly in the North West.

• Existing network across mines, contractors, OEMs and/or EPCs.

• Strong technical understanding of transformers, substations and associated electrical equipment.

• Proven track record of generating new business and growing existing accounts.

• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of a territory.

• Strong commercial awareness and business development ability.

• Willingness to travel throughout Rustenburg and the surrounding mining areas.

• A valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
