SALES REPRESENTATIVE [RENEWABLE ENERGY]

Introduction

Our client within the renewable energy sector is looking for experienced Sales Representatives to join their team in Johannesburg.

Candidates must be open to travel across South Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and secure new B2B business opportunities within the renewable energy, solar PV, and battery storage sectors.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure long-term business growth and customer satisfaction.

• Conduct client meetings and presentations to promote products and services, preparing and delivering tailored sales proposals.

• Generate and qualify sales leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.

• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while maintaining accurate sales forecasts.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to successfully close sales opportunities.

• Travel extensively across South Africa to meet with customers, attend site visits, and develop business in assigned territories.

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities using CRM systems and other sales reporting tools.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and developments in renewable energy technologies to identify new market opportunities.

• Collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to ensure seamless project handovers, customer support, and successful implementation of solutions

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric (Mandatory).

• Tertiary qualification in marketing (Preferred).

• Computer literacy (Mandatory).

• Drivers license (Mandatory).

• Own vehicle (Preferred).

• Sales track record: 1-3 years minimum in B2B Sales (Mandatory).

• Industry knowledge - Prior experience in renewable energy, solar PV, Battery storage (Strongly Preffered).

• Excellent lead generation and prospecting skills.

• Proposal presentation skills

• Excellent communication skills.

• Willingness to travel across South Africa.
