A well-established business within the lighting sector is seeking a motivated and results-driven Project Lighting Sales Representative. The successful candidate will develop new business and grow existing customer relationships across the commercial, hospitality, residential, retail and wholesale sectors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop new business within the commercial, hospitality, residential, retail and wholesale markets
- Build and maintain relationships with electrical wholesalers, retailers, contractors, architects, interior designers, developers, consultants and project managers
- Promote and sell decorative, architectural, commercial and smart lighting solutions
- Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical and aesthetic lighting solutions
- Prepare quotations, product presentations, specifications and lighting proposals
- Manage projects from the initial enquiry through to specification, quotation, order placement, delivery and after-sales support
- Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations and presentations
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Monitor competitor activity and relevant market trends
- Attend exhibitions, industry events and networking opportunities
- Work closely with internal sales, technical support and logistics teams
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum of five years’ proven sales experience specifically within the lighting industry
- Strong project sales and specification sales experience
- Established experience dealing with electrical wholesalers
- Proven working relationships with architects, electrical engineers, interior designers and contractors
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel and conduct regular customer visits
- Strong technical understanding of lighting products and solutions
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Package & Remuneration
Basic salary of R18 000 to R25 000 per month
