Our client in the packaging industry is looking for a strong and driven salesperson to join their team. The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the company's packaging products to new and existing customers. The role involves identifying sales opportunities, building strong customer relationships, preparing quotations, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets while providing excellent customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
- Promote the company's packaging products and solutions.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable packaging products.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales presentations.
- Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines.
- Process customer orders and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
- Follow up on customer enquiries, quotations, and outstanding orders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales reports.
- Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events when required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric or equivalent; a diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field is an advantage.
- Previous sales experience, preferably in the packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Package & Remuneration
R 20 000 – R25 000 basic plus company vehicle and commission.
