Sales Representative – Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha (Eastern Cape)
A well-established commercial warewashing company is looking for a driven Sales Representative to join their team and develop business across the Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha region.
This is a field-based sales role focused on identifying new business opportunities, onboarding customers, managing existing accounts and building a strong territory over time.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being out in the market, developing relationships and creating new business. Previous experience within hospitality, catering, foodservice, FMCG, POS, technical sales or a similar B2B environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the territory
- Prospect, cold call and visit potential customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Present commercial warewashing solutions based on customer requirements
- Prepare quotations and follow opportunities through to close
- Grow and manage an existing customer base
- Maintain regular customer visits and follow-ups
- Develop a strong pipeline of future business
- Work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure excellent customer service
Requirements
- Previous sales, business development or account management experience
- Proven ability to develop new business and build customer relationships
- Comfortable working independently and managing a sales territory
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, persistent and commercially minded
- Willingness to learn a technical product range
- Valid driver's licence
- Based in or around Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha
Experience selling into restaurants, hotels, lodges, catering companies or other hospitality businesses would be beneficial, particularly for candidates who already have relationships within the industry.
Package
Basic Salary: R17,000 per month + commission + R3 000 Car Allowance or company car.
