Sales Representative – Durban Manufacturing / FMCG (Bakery & Catering Solutions) Full-time | On-site
Our client, a leading supplier of premium baking and catering equipment and solutions, is seeking a driven Sales Representative to manage and grow a defined territory. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, driving revenue, and identifying new business opportunities within the food production and hospitality sectors. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and growing a portfolio of existing clients through regular engagement and service delivery
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Presenting and selling bakery and catering solutions to meet client needs
- Planning and executing daily sales activities, including client visits and prospecting
- Achieving monthly and annual sales targets in line with business objectives
- Preparing and delivering tailored product presentations and demonstrations
- Coordinating orders, deliveries, and after-sales support with internal teams
- Resolving client queries and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
- Providing regular feedback and sales reports to management
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant sales or marketing qualification advantageous
- Proven experience in a sales or client-facing role, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or equipment supply
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a sales territory independently and meet targets
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office; ERP systems advantageous)
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region
