Start free — we apply for you →An exciting opportunity is available in the Vaal Triangle for a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative with a strong background in the marine industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing quality boats, generating new business, building relationships with boat owners and prospective buyers, and successfully closing sales.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for boating, sound knowledge of boats and marine equipment, and the ability to identify sales opportunities and grow the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
Actively promote and sell boats to prospective clients.
Source quality boats for resale and build relationships with boat owners, marinas and yacht clubs.
Generate new business through networking, referrals and online platforms.
Arrange boat viewings, demonstrations and sea trials where applicable.
Negotiate prices, manage sales agreements and close deals.
Provide professional customer service and after-sales support.
Assist with advertising, social media promotions and marketing of available stock.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales documentation and inventory.
Prepare regular sales activity reports.
Attend boat shows and industry events when required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12 (Matric).
Minimum 2 years' sales experience.
Marine industry experience is essential.
Previous boat sales experience will be highly advantageous.
Good knowledge of boats, marine equipment and boating requirements.
Proven ability to generate leads, negotiate and close sales.
Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy (MS Office and email).
Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport preferred.
Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently.
Package & Remuneration
Basic Salary & Commission
Additional travel to clients, marinas and boat viewing locations will be required.
Occasional weekend work may be necessary.
