SALES REPRESENTATIVE | JOHANNESBURG | R23,000 - R28,000 CTC + INCENTIVE

Introduction

CK Africa Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation within the salt and bulk products industry for an experienced Sales Representative to join their Johannesburg team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships while actively developing new business. The role is approximately 30% account management and 70% new business development .

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and develop strong relationships with existing wholesale, bulk and industrial customers.

• Identify, target and secure new B2B business opportunities.

• Develop new customer accounts across the industrial, wholesale, hospitality, agricultural and manufacturing sectors.

• Achieve agreed sales targets.

• Negotiate pricing, contracts and supply agreements.

• Conduct regular customer visits and business development meetings.

• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.

• Prepare quotations and sales reports.

• Maintain accurate customer records and sales information.

• Travel as required to meet customers and develop business.

• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12 / Matric.

• Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous but is not essential .

• Proven B2B sales experience is essential.

• Experience within industrial, wholesale, bulk, manufacturing or related sectors will be advantageous.

• Strong new business development experience.

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

• Valid driver's licence.

• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently.

• Strong commercial awareness and customer relationship management skills.

Package & Remuneration

• R23,000 - R28,000 CTC per month , depending on experience.

• Incentive structure over and above CTC , based on Rand value per ton sold.
