As an External Sales Representative based in Johannesburg, you will drive business growth by securing new prospects and maximizing revenue within existing key accounts. Supported fully by our management and office team, you will focus on selling glass bottles, jars, closures, PET, and flexible packaging products across spirits, OTC pharma, beauty, food & beverage, and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development: Actively generate new business leads, respond to inquiries, and convert prospects into long-term clients.

• Account Management: Build, maintain, and expand existing customer relationships while identifying commercial growth opportunities.

• Consultative Selling: Advise customers on customized and standard packaging solutions, market trends, and product innovations.

• Field Activity: Perform regular customer site visits and represent the company at industry trade shows and events.

• Execution: Prepare and follow up on quotes, manage commercial projects, and maintain sales reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 certificate required (Degree in Sales/Marketing is advantageous).

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in packaging sales (mandatory). Experience in rigid plastic packaging, beauty, or healthcare segments is highly advantageous.

• Languages: Excellent verbal and written command of both English and Afrikaans.

• Mobility: Unendorsed valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle. Willingness to travel regularly, including occasional extended stays away from home.

• Competencies: Strong business acumen, self-motivation, superior interpersonal skills, and a positive mindset in high-pressure situations.
