About Go Girl Logistics

Go Girl Logistics provides dedicated refrigerated, temperature-controlled and general cargo transport within South Africa and across Southern Africa.

We are looking for a proactive Sales Representative - Logistics & Cross-Border Transport who can find new customers, convert enquiries into confirmed bookings and build profitable, lasting customer relationships.

About the role

This is a hands-on sales role focused on winning new business and developing repeat customers. You will prospect for customers, understand their transport requirements, prepare quotations with operational support and follow through to secure bookings.

Success will be measured by qualified opportunities, profitable sales, customer retention and collected gross profit.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach businesses requiring domestic and cross-border transport.
  • Generate leads through telephone calls, business emails, networking and customer visits.
  • Respond promptly to website enquiries and other incoming sales leads.
  • Gather accurate shipment details, including collection and delivery addresses, cargo specifications, weight, dimensions and temperature requirements.
  • Prepare and follow up quotations in coordination with the Director and operations team.
  • Negotiate within approved pricing, margin and payment guidelines.
  • Convert quotations into confirmed transport bookings.
  • Develop repeat business through regular customer follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, quotations, customer interactions and sales opportunities.
  • Provide weekly pipeline reports and work towards agreed sales and gross-profit targets.
  • Support payment follow-ups and help resolve customer queries.
  • Coordinate a clear handover to operations once a booking is confirmed.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric or equivalent qualification.
  • At least two years of business-to-business sales experience, preferably in transport, logistics, freight or a related industry.
  • Experience in prospecting, following up quotations and closing sales.
  • Strong telephone, email and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Confidence discussing pricing and negotiating profitable deals.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office, email and maintaining sales records.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline, prioritise tasks and work independently.
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally for customer meetings.
  • Knowledge of refrigerated transport, dedicated truckloads or cross-border freight will be an advantage.

The person we are looking for

You are persistent, organised and comfortable approaching new customers. You follow through on commitments, communicate professionally and understand that successful sales must generate profit as well as turnover.

You enjoy working in a small, growing business where your contribution is visible and you take ownership of your results.

Package & Remuneration

  • R15,000 gross basic salary per month.
  • R4,000 combined monthly cellphone and travel allowance.
  • Total fixed monthly package of R19,000 before applicable deductions, plus commission.
  • Performance-based commission linked to collected gross profit, with the calculation and payment terms agreed in writing before appointment.
  • Statutory leave and UIF contributions.
  • Practical training in the company’s services, quotation processes and operations.
  • Opportunity to develop your career as the business grows.
