Duties & Responsibilities
Our client is a well-established organisation in the salt industry seeking a Sales Representative to develop and manage sales across wholesale, bulk, industrial, agricultural, and manufacturing markets in Johannesburg. This role offers ownership of customer relationships, account management, and business development with exposure to multiple sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing wholesale, bulk, and industrial customers.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the wholesale and bulk salt market.
- Manage customer accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements with customers.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Conduct regular customer visits and business development meetings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Prepare quotations, sales reports, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Travel nationally as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary diploma or degree.
- Proven sales experience.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
- Experience within the wholesale and bulk industry is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel nationally and spend time away from home.
