We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our sales team within the public utilities metering sector . The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling electricity metering solutions and products to public utility customers, with a strong focus on municipalities .
Based in Cape Town , the Sales Representative will play a key role in developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth within the electricity metering market.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Development Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
- Sell and promote electricity metering solutions and products to public utility customers, with a strong focus on municipalities.
- Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships to support customer retention and business growth.
- Conduct prospecting and lead-generation activities to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance and product support to customers, ensuring solutions align with their operational and technical requirements.
- Prepare and present quotations , negotiate commercial terms, and support the successful closure of sales.
- Manage order processing and tracking , ensuring orders are accurately captured and delivered within agreed timelines.
- Prepare and submit sales reports , providing accurate updates on sales activities, pipelines, customer engagements, and business opportunities.
- Maintain strong market awareness by monitoring industry trends, customer requirements, competitor activity, and developments within the electricity metering sector.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 3 years proven sales track record within the public sector.
- The ability to handle and influence customers’ expectations.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Valid drivers license and own vehicle
Package & Remuneration
R 25 000 - R 35 000 CTC
