Sales rep needed in Springs in the FMCG industry Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Minimum 2–3 years' external sales experience
- FMCG, food, bakery, flour or retail experience preferred
- Valid driver's licence
- Own reliable, roadworthy and insured vehicle – essential
- Willing to travel extensively within the allocated territory
- Smartphone, email and basic Excel/reporting skills.
- Develop new customers and grow existing accounts
- Achieve agreed sales, volume and profitability targets
- Build strong relationships with store, bakery and business managers
- Monitor stock levels, product movement and competitor activity.
- Work closely with company bakers placed at customer bakeries
- Monitor baker attendance, product quality, standards and sales performance
- Identify training, performance or disciplinary concerns and report them to management.
- Understand basic sales margins, customer profitability and minimum volume requirements.
- Submit accurate weekly sales, customer, baker and new-business reports
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospective customers
- Plan customer visits and travel efficiently
